Client Background

Accelecom is a next-generation fiber provider delivering high-speed network, internet, and voice solutions across the Southeast. As a newer IT player in the Kentucky market, they had the infrastructure to compete — but not the brand recognition to match.

The Conundrum

Accelecom entered the Kentucky market with strong financial backing, a growing infrastructure and technical capabilities — but little brand recognition in a crowded IT landscape. They lacked a clear, elevated identity, consistent messaging, and the credibility needed to stand out and scale quickly.

Without an internal marketing team in place, Accelecom also faced a gap in day-to-day execution and strategic leadership, making it difficult to support growth initiatives, build awareness, and confidently move forward with expansion — including an acquisition in Georgia. The challenge wasn’t the network — it was turning that network into a brand people actually recognized.

A Sage Approach

When Accelecom came to Sage, they weren’t looking for another agency to experiment — they were looking for clarity, traction, and leadership. As a growing tech startup, they had already worked with marketing and PR firms that failed to deliver meaningful results. The challenges were clear: lack of brand resonance in the community, unclear positioning, and no cohesive marketing direction — at a time when the company was scaling in Kentucky and preparing for the acquisition of Georgia Public Web.

Sage stepped in by building a fully custom marketing and growth operation designed around Accelecom’s business goals. We began with deep brand strategy and positioning work, refining customer profiles, messaging, and identity — including a new logo — to ensure the brand aligned with both market expectations and long-term growth. From there, we audited and rebuilt their digital presence, creating a website and advertising strategy designed to support the sales team, improve lead generation, and clearly communicate credibility.

As Accelecom expanded into Georgia, we provided acquisition-focused marketing, branding, and sales enablement support to ensure consistency, confidence, and momentum through growth. Our work extended beyond traditional marketing — supporting advocacy and PR efforts by collaborating with local press, legislators, and industry stakeholders to elevate visibility and authority in the region.

To bring it all together, we developed cohesive creative and design assets across digital platforms, sales materials, conferences, and advertising — ensuring every touchpoint told the same story. Every decision was made with intention. Every effort was built to support return, not noise.

Results

Sage played a pivotal role in guiding Accelecom’s expansion into the Georgia market, ensuring the brand resonated with new audiences while maintaining credibility in a highly competitive telecommunications landscape. Through a revamped website and refined messaging, Accelecom established stronger brand authority and a digital presence that clearly communicated expertise while supporting sales efforts.

We elevated Accelecom’s visibility across the industry by updating conference and event materials, equipping leadership and sales teams with compelling assets for key moments. Strategic public relations campaigns reached a national audience, driving increased awareness and reinforcing Accelecom’s positioning as an emerging leader in fiber connectivity.

Beyond traditional marketing, we introduced a social selling strategy that enabled the sales team to engage prospects more effectively through relevant, timely content. We also established and optimized Accelecom’s Google Business presence and core social media platforms, creating a stronger and more cohesive digital footprint.

To strengthen sales operations, Sage’s CEO worked directly with Accelecom’s leadership to bring in Alex Gafford, VP of Sales at Blue Street Capital, delivering hands-on training in social selling, sales tactics, and Salesforce best practices. This ensured marketing and sales moved forward in lockstep.

When a previous agency claimed KentuckyProud membership was unattainable, Sage secured approval in under five minutes—reinforcing Accelecom’s identity as a network built by Kentucky, for Kentucky.

As Accelecom continued to grow, Sage filled critical marketing gaps by providing on-site marketing support, ensuring the company had the structure, momentum, and expertise needed to scale with confidence.
