Project Brief + Goals

The College for Technical Education (CTE) turned to Sage Marketing after a frustrating experience with a previous marketer who failed to deliver results. Despite running Facebook ad campaigns for some time, CTE saw little impact on their online presence and felt their branding did not reflect their true identity or connect with their audience. Upon conducting a full audit, we uncovered major gaps—including services that had been billed but never rendered and a lack of access to their own ad account, a major red flag in the marketing industry.

Sage Marketing stepped in to clean up their accounts, restore transparency, and rebuild trust. We ensured they had full ownership over their digital assets while restructuring their branding to create a more modern, fresh, and authentic identity that resonated with both prospective and current students.

Beyond digital marketing, we conducted on-site visits to immerse ourselves in CTE’s campus culture, speaking directly with students to understand their experiences and uncover opportunities for marketing to enhance engagement and improve the overall student journey. By combining real student insights with a revitalized marketing strategy, we helped shape a stronger, more connected college community while increasing brand awareness and student enrollment.

Project Results

We began with Brand Strategy Sessions that redefined CTE’s identity, leading to fresh messaging and a bold new color palette that truly reflected their mission. From there, we designed a brand new logo showcasing their goal of opening doors of opportunity for their students. We then developed a custom-built WordPress website designed for both functionality and engagement. Recognizing the previous mismanagement of their digital assets, we created a brand-new Ad Account, ensuring CTE had full control over billing and performance metrics for complete transparency. We also brought on a Meta employee to help them better understand and navigate advertising terms and conditions for a non-profit college.

To expand their digital footprint, we launched new social media channels on Instagram and LinkedIn to attract prospective students while also cleaning up their existing Facebook presence for better audience engagement. Additionally, we implemented highly targeted PPC Ad Campaigns for each of their five programs, driving increased visibility and student inquiries. Through a strategic combination of branding, digital presence, and paid media, we helped position CTE as a forward-thinking technical college, equipped to reach and enroll more students than ever before.

[brand stylescape]

A brand stylescape is a curated visual representation of a brand’s look and feel, including colors, typography, imagery, and patterns, to establish a cohesive aesthetic. It serves as a visual roadmap, ensuring alignment between designers and clients on the brand’s direction. Unlike mood boards, stylescapes are more refined and actionable, guiding everything from logo application, interior branding, to website design. To create them, we source inspiration from online images that reflect the brand’s personality, helping to shape a strong and consistent identity. Clients get to choose from 3 options and go with their favorite.

Their old logo felt like it applied to more formal type of educational institutes versus a trade school with hands-on learning. We refreshed the old look and updated it with something new. Within Logo Design, clients receive a variety of different colors and variations of their logos and standalone icons for their future marketing needs.
